ACT records 694 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 694 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 385 identified by PCR and 309 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 67 people in hospital, including three in intensive care and two being ventilated.

This brings the number of active cases in the ACT to 5336. Yesterday there were 666 new cases.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 36.4 per cent of ACT residents aged over 18 have received a booster shot (as at 21 January 2022).

NSW recorded 20,324 new cases and 34 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 13,091 new cases and 14 deaths.
