ACT records 704 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 704 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 394 identified by PCR and 310 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 30 people in hospital, including one in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 93.8 per cent and 70.1 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have received a booster.

NSW recorded 12,850 new cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 6075 new cases and 11 deaths.
