ACT records another COVID-19 death, new cases fall below 400

A man in his 60s has died with COVID-19, taking the ACT’s local pandemic death toll to 28.

The ACT has recorded 372 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 209 identified by PCR and 163 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 63 people in hospital, including one in intensive care who is being ventilated.

This brings the number of active cases in the ACT to 2779. Yesterday there were 449 new cases.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 53.2 per cent of ACT residents aged over 18 have received a booster shot.

NSW recorded 8389 new cases and 18 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 7810 new cases and 41 deaths.
