All libraries in the ACT, including the ACT Heritage Library, will be closed for the annual Libraries ACT Planning and Development Day on Wednesday (28 February).

According to the director of Libraries ACT, Vanessa Little, the day is an opportunity for all staff to provide their ideas for future services and programs.

“The Annual Planning and Development Day is an opportunity for all staff to come together and contribute their thoughts and ideas in planning for future services, programs and initiatives. Libraries ACT are open every day, except public holidays, and this is the only way library staff can all meet to plan a better library service.”

The closure will include the Home Library Service, the Access Canberra driver license service located at Civic Library as well as Archives ACT located at Woden Library. Regular programs, including story time and Giggle & Wiggle, will not run tomorrow.

Online services will remain available for library users with the public still able to search, request and renew any items online as well as downloading digital material. Library items can also be returned using the return chutes located outside each Libraries ACT branch.

All library services will return as normal on Thursday 1st of March, 2018.

For more information, visit the Libraries ACT website or call 6205 9000.
