An interview with ELK

By johnboy - 20 May 2010 1

The street artist ELK is perhaps best known nationally for provoking the Liberal MLA Steve Pratt into imploding his own career, as immortalised in the above Chaser segment from 2007.

If art is measured by the reaction it provokes then it puts him up there with Picasso and Guernica.

Anyway if you want to know what makes this local artist tick, he’s just done an interview with Spader clothing.

Enjoy.

Any one else notice that, in the Chaser clip above, Craig Reucassel didn’t graffiti Pratt’s office? MLAs don’t have offices, and that sure wasn’t the Legislative Assembly he was spraying. I doubt if it was even in Canberra.
