Anyone know where I can find cotechino in Canberra?

Madam Cholet 21 April 2012 7

Planning the weeks meals and came across what looked like a really yummy recipe that uses cotechino.

Thought I’d just mosey up to Fyshwick markets and pick some up at one of the deli’s. The closest I got was a wait of two weeks.

I could use italian sausages instead, however I’d like to give the cotechino a try.

I’ve tried the Italian deli at Erindale to no avail.

Anyone have any other suggestions of where I might find it in the next few days?

I’ll consider going North if needs be.

YES we at Balzanelli Smallgoods Manufacture Cotechino.
Traditionally Cotechino is a winter product in Italy, therefore we only manufacture this product in winter.

we have only just started making it again this year, our Cotechino will be available at the Fyshwick markets deli’s.

We also stock the product at our factory retail store 7 Isa street, Fyshwick
our Queanbeyan retail store 122 Crawford street, Queanbeyan (in the Aldi carpark)
and the Epic farmers markets on a Saturday morning!

you can also keep unto date with us through our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/BalzanelliSmallgoods?ref=tn_tnmn

or even request to join our email mailing list by sending us an email to fourbeemeat@bigpond.com

I thought a Cotechino was a small, furry, South American mammal.

I thought a cotechino was a decent coffee found on the coast. (Does anyone know where to find one?)

A happy ending, I found some! At Fruitacious in Manuka. Frozen, but that’s ok. Will see how it goes and maybe try the Fyshwick stuff when it arrives.

You could try Balzanelli in Isa St Fyshwick. If they don’t have it I reckon they’ll be able to get it quicker than 2 weeks.
