Ask RiotACT

Hi all,

A leaking toilet has resulted in some fairly significant shifting in my house structure (more than the usual – yes it’s Canberra clay). It needs to be dealt with before I do anything in the way of even minor renos. The previous owners ‘jacked and packed’ between the brick piers and the timber supports with pieces of fibro cement etc. but I don’t feel confident that I can do a good enough job of getting the levels right. Plus it’s a tight crawl space at one end so I’m not sure that I can even get to some of the piers that probably need work (~1.2 metres to a minimum of ~0.4 metres). Can anybody recommend someone reliable who can come out and do the relevelling job for me? It’s an ex-govy in MacGregor. Thanks in advance!
