Ask RiotACT: Sourcing a pinata

My dear hive mind of rioters,

My little astromonkey is having a birthday party this Sunday [11/10] and now desperately wants a pinata. I’ve seen a few places do on-line sales but don’t want to risk non-delivery in time for this event. The party shop line rings out and other [insert search engine of choice] aren’t much help.

So, help? The little monkey will be chuffed.

Next time you need one, make your own. All that is needed is a balloon, paper mache, some paint and a bit of imagination.
Also, involve the young ones as it makes it a great family, computer-free event.

thanks all – turned out funny shop was one staff and busy so not answering phone. was chancing by otherwise and found a good selection there, near bunda st p.o. [astromonkey chose the soccer ball, of course]. big w has some party fare but not pinata.

all the cheap shops have them. The one near the fruit shop in Belconnen Westfield. as well as toys ‘r’ us. The party zone in gunghalin Big W has them and so does that cheap shop near coles tuggeranong
