As Australia Day approaches and Canberrans are getting ready to spend the long weekend with friends and family, there are a number of road closures residents should be aware of when travelling and moving around.

Between 7:00 am and 11:00 am on Saturday, 25 January diversions will be in place around RG Menzies Walk for the National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony, with partial closures adjacent to Barrine Drive and Nerang Pool Bridge. There will also be partial closures adjacent to Rond Terrace.

On Sunday, 26 January, the Central Basin of Lake Burley Griffin will be closed between 5:00 am and 2:00 pm. Closures will also be in place for Rond Terrace Car Park and Blundell’s Cottage Car Park in Parkes.

Partial closures are again in place along Menzies Walk adjacent to Barrine Drive and Nerang Pool Bridge, and adjacent to Rond Terrace.

Diversions will also be in place at Regatta Place between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm because of partial closures.
