Banjo country?

By johnboy - 22 January 2009 48

Walking the dog on the Northern shore of the lake today we came across this strange sight.

The carp is painted grey on one side only and has another carp skull lined up with it.

So there’s been a lot of work done.

Any home warlocks want to speculate on what’s being done here?

What’s Your opinion?

Could be another one of Stalinhope’s “Public Artworks”

Also, around the Inner North, people have started throwing pairs of shoes up onto power lines, ala the movie Wag the Dog, aka Shoe Tossing:

Portents of a local crack epidemic, anyone? lmao

It’s tradition to nail your flathead heads to a tree. Not exactly sure why though. Might have to google it.

Funny you say that,my son was down at Eden on a school holiday adventure for a couple of days and he seen some flatheads nailed to trees. Intriguing wonder what it means… I googled it and I think it is some sort of male trophy ritual…”oh I caught the biggest” and all that.

It could be some way of cleaning or filleting the fish. But the top photo doesn’t look like it’s been filleted.

Interesting. Which part of the lake was it? I’d be keen to check out if there were other symbols nearby.

Maybe a 40 minute walk up from Scrivener?

Art project? I knew someone who decorated a tree with aluminium foil when she was an arts student… Nothing would surprise me.
