The first part – “it’s a signal to drug dealers” parodies the urban myth which occasionally turns up in Column 8 in the SMH claiming that people letting off fireworks at night is a signal that a drug shipment has come in. The second part – “one of your kidneys is missing” is a longstanding myth about people having their drinks spiked then waking up the following morning minus a kidney. The third part “if you read this I have been murdered” is a sendup of Pauline Hanson’s famous “farewell video” where she sent the video to all the media with orders to play it on the news if she was assasinated. My second post “please explain” was intended to reinforce the Hanson link when it was clear that many had failed to get the intent of my original post. A pity I’ve had to go into this lengthy explanation, and it serves as a warning not to overestimate others.

Funny you say that,my son was down at Eden on a school holiday adventure for a couple of days and he seen some flatheads nailed to trees. Intriguing wonder what it means… I googled it and I think it is some sort of male trophy ritual…”oh I caught the biggest” and all that.

It could be some way of cleaning or filleting the fish. But the top photo doesn’t look like it’s been filleted.
