Happy New Year and welcome back to the Best of Canberra! I’m looking forward to continuing my exploration of what Canberra has to offer.

To kick-start 2016, I’m searching for the best fun zone to visit. Trampolines, laser tag, bowling, indoor rock climbing, go-karting – there are many to choose from.

You may have been there to keep the kids entertained over school holidays or enjoyed going yourself with friends.

Let me know your favourite place to have some fun in the comments below. I’ll visit the two most popular and decide the verdict in next week’s article.

Definitely the Canberra Riddle Room – SO MUCH FUN.
The Canberra themed putt-putt golf at Weston Park is fun too.

I love the iPlay games room at Belconnen mall, near the cinema. It’s just your usual arcade type games – basketball hoops, shooting things, whacking things, spinning things. Stuff like that. I fricking love it. So much fun.

Not quite a Fun Zone because I think there’s a minimum age for it 14? 16? but would be interested if anyone has been to the new Escape room called the Riddle Room that someone has built in their garage in Franklin. At my teens insistence, I went to one with her in Singapore recently and it was actually, and surprisingly for me, heaps of fun. This one seems a bit more low key because the one in Singapore had sliding doors moving into new rooms so there were three rooms in all in the room we tackled (there were three different mysteries you could do but would be interested if anyone has actually done it, particularly with a teen. The Canberra Times did a review but would love some actual real life reviews as well.
