ACT Fire & Rescue has evacuated approximately 150 people from a building on Moore Street in the city while investigating a smell of smoke.
The ground floor, level one and level two has been evacuated. There has been no sign of fire.
Three pumpers, hazmat, Bronto aerial platform, commander and support unit have attended with support from ACT Ambulance Service.

I doubt it is ever the practice of any of the emergency agencies to be publicly reporting each address where an emergency attendance takes place, for obvious reasons.

Is there any reason ESA would not give the exact building address for an incident like this? It strikes me as a little odd that they’re making a public announcement, but withholding the full location.
It seems to be the ESA’s usual approach, so there is probably a good reason. I’m just not sure what it is.
