Canberra artists win big at Sculpture by the Sea

The Canberra Times reports that two Canberra artists have won big at Sculpture by the Sea:

“Philip Spelman was the recipient of the Andrea Stretton Memorial Invitation to Cottesloe for his abstract work Parabola 2008, while Amanda Stuart was awarded the Waverley Council Parks Staff Prize for her work Mongrel Country Nil Tenure.”

If only Ron Radford hadn’t canned the National Sculpture Prize (still sore about that Ron) we’d have something similar to celebrate here in Canberra.
