Canberra Gang Show Presents : GET A LIFE!

cazjs 6 July 2007 8

ACT Scouts and Guides are proud to present Gang Show 2007 – GET A LIFE!!

This year’s show is a series of original short stories with plenty of familiar songs that cover the span of a lifetime. From a zany children’s programme to a teenage beauty pageant, from a backyard wedding to a bumbling evil corporation, from the twilight years spent playing bingo and beyond – it’s sure to be a great night out for all ages and from all backgrounds!!

This year we celebrate 100 Years of Worldwide Scouting, as well as the 75th anniversary of the first Gang Show in London. If you’ve ever thought about coming to see a Gang Show, this is the year to do it. Help us celebrate the achievements of our young people, and the opportunities Scouting offers them. Gang Show is a Scouting activity that allows young people to learn about the workings of a musical theatre production – from performing onstage, writing the scripts, plotting the lights and building the sets – it’s all done by the youth of the ACT.

To book tickets, go to the Philo website and follow the links to the Gang Show page. We can’t wait to see you at the show!

Erindale Theatre, Wanniassa

Sorry, yes, you’re right. Just went back to the website, and Duncan, Tracey and Bryn were all in the cast when I was AD.

I can’t believe it’s now in its 40th year!

The first Canberra Gang Show I saw was the 21st, and I was in the 25th silver anniversary show. And I notice the Director and Choreographer of this year’s show were littlies when I was on the production team.

Gosh I’m old!
