The ABC has the slightly alarming news that Canberra couple Tim Driesen and Emily Nolan have blitzed the Port Lincoln Tunarama Festival Tuna Toss:
Two-time Australian champion Tim Driesen won with a throw of 30.26 metres at the Tunarama Festival.
His partner Emily Nolan also won with a toss of just over 12 metres.
Ms Nolan, who is also a keen hammer thrower, says throwing a tuna is a different kettle of fish.
“The hammer is a stationary weight on the end of firm pole or firm wire at least. This thing just moves all over the place,” she said.
Congratulations to them.
