ABC News is reporting that Canberra Raiders NRL player Trevor Thurling has been stood down by the club after being arrested by police in Sydney on Thursday.
The club says Thurling was involved in an car accident and was driving under the influence of alcohol.
In a statement on the club’s website, Raiders CEO Don Furner said Thurling has been stood down from all playing and club commitments until the matter has been dealt with.

Another Canberra Raider has been caught drink driving. It has been reported that Trevor Thurling was involved in a car accident last night and police allege he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
