Here’s something for younger readers trying to figure out what to do with their lives. This from the email that came in:

We are a small group of youth working to organize Canberra’s first Sustainable Careers Expo, seeking skills and energy from passionate people.

We are looking to promote environmental courses, jobs/careers, volunteering opportunities, and support for ongoing commitment to sustainability in jobs/careers. This will be the first event of this kind in the ACT.

We aim to target careers councilors, Secondary and Tertiary educators, government and non-government organizations, business and employers in the ACT. There is much room for expansion and a great deal of
    opportunity to be involved.

It will be held on the Eve of World Environment Day (4th of June from 4-9pm) at St Francis Xavier College Canberra ACT. All Year 11 and 12 students have been invited to attend , and we are broken up into these four
    streams of focus:

    1) Volunteering
In suitability and environmental conservation. Working with ACT Otherwise, the AYCC.

    2) Jobs and Careers
Idea’s, people, guests, fashion, advertisers and across fields of education (from science to law to art)

    3) Courses and Education

    4) “Bigger Picture” and Guidance
Creating a community and assisting with a journey.

We also hope to bring together environmental and sustainable organizations in the ACT though cooperation and business. By showing that there is a demand and opportunity for Green jobs we will send a strong message to government.

We are all volunteering our time because we are passionate about the future of our world.
