Senior Actors Ensemble is designed for actors who have completed secondary school and wish to pursue advanced actor training. Ensemble members develop core skills in acting technique, movement, voice, improvisation, script analysis and audition technique. The program provides opportunities to put those skills to practical use, in a myriad of performance settings.
Canberra Youth Theatre is committed to ensuring that actors develop their craft holistically, providing critical experience in performing with and without audience, live performance and studio-based acting. The Ensemble program provides exceptional training and pathways to emerging artists, equipping actors with the skills needed to transition into full time industry-based training courses or directly into the industry.
CYT recognises the value in connecting artists to industry professionals; the Ensemble offers multiple opportunities to build networking connections throughout the year.
The Ensemble concludes with a Studio Production. Actors will perform in a three-night season of a polished, contemporary work.
