Today has been full of chances to do good, and here’s another!
This release is from from the desk of the brilliant Simone Penkethman, and is about a party/art exhibition at CMAG.
Check it out.
Everything they say about volunteering is right – it is good for you! It makes you feel like you have something extra to give and that’s a great feeling. So, for the past 3 years, I’ve served on the Board of Capital Arts Patrons Organisation (CAPO) – the longest running Arts philanthropic organisation in Australia. We run an arts funding program that’s entirely independent of government. Since beginning in 1983, CAPO has awarded over $1.8 million dollars to artists in the Canberra region. We fund our program by putting on a fabulous annual art exhibition, party and art auction. This year, we’re celebrating 30 years and teaming up with Canberra Museum and Gallery to present our best party yet! Do come, you can book tickets here: http://www.capo.org.au/capo-30-auction-tickets/.
It will be great fun and you might accidentally buy a beautiful artwork that you’ll love forever,
