We will be donning sackcloth and ashes tomorrow and performing womyn-only street theatre along the different traffic lights along Northbourne Avenue starting at the farmers markets at 9:00 to protest against a day of gang rape of our mother Gaia by the car. We demand that the Greens who have sold out to bourgois democracy in the Legislative Assembly resign for aiding and abetting the friend of pack rape and patriachy Stanhope.

Sure, but the Government has decreed that in order to maximise the transfer of water to the lawn, you must do it naked so as to avoid your clothing soaking up any of the water. And you must take photos. And post them here. But only if you’re female. And only if you’re hot.

think of the poor people who own car detailing businesses… use them instead. they do a fantastic job, its professionally done and lasts much longer than doing it yourself. plus they use far less water than doing it yourself at carlovers.

i can recommend a good one….

I went for a walk last night and saw at least 3 people washing their cars with hoses… it’s almost like people aren’t paying attention to water restrictions!

Agree with you Holden. I wash my car once a week on the lawn, and use significantly less water than on the rare occasions I go to Carlovers. I also end up with less scratches on the car from dirty brushes, don’t have to deal with people being impatient for me taking too long and the finish lasts longer. That way I can use the exhorbitantly (sp?) expensive car washing stuff I buy from time to time that keeps it clean and sparkly, and the lawn gets a drink too 🙂

And before anyone decides to flame me for flouting water restrictions, I use tank water for everything – no access to mains water.
