Chrissy in Charny

This image has been doing the email rounds with the title XMAS AT CHARNWOOD. Now I can’t confirm the location but it is pretty funny all the same.

Charny Xmas Tree

And as per last year let’s all send in our Xmas tree photos – and beer bottle trees only count if you drank all the beer yourself 😉

My first reaction was that’s UC…the ALDI beer (MVP) I’ve been told is alright. It’s about $30 a case, maybe less. Dan Murphy’s been selling KB by the case.

Yeah, it looks like old ressies at UC… ha…

Thumper Thumper 8:08 am 29 Nov 07

Aldi beer?

Oh… Evil, just like that 1980s Andy Capp beer…

Yeah it looks like the grass area between the library and Building 5 (Education).

eh_steve eh_steve 10:09 pm 28 Nov 07

I can confirm that is definitely UC

Can you even buy KB larger in Canberra?

Jonathon Reynolds Jonathon Reynolds 6:56 pm 28 Nov 07

Isn’t the blue box beer from ALDI?

fhakk fhakk 5:52 pm 28 Nov 07

Well, we have to train our future engineers somehow…

I’d have to agree with blub – my reaction was “that looks like UC old ressies” – and that was a long time ago!

Can’t be anywhere in QLD because the beer cartons are not XXXX.

And on reading the post above the post above I stand corrected.

Ill go now to eat my hat in silence

If its anywhere on the eastern seaboard I would say the rocks district in Sydney judging on the building in the background – not many redbrick arched windows to be seen in Canberra.

blub blub 1:08 pm 28 Nov 07

Hahah.
That’s UC Old Ressies.

Charnwood ? I would have just assumed ‘Belconnen’

🙂

When I received it a couple of weeks ago, it was “Queanbeyan”…

Shannski Shannski 12:21 pm 28 Nov 07

That rocks!

Lilli Lilli 11:51 am 28 Nov 07

I got this earlier but titled “Wishing you a Redfern Central Christmas..” which I found amusing. Now with the edit of ‘Charnwood’ and the suggestion of a reproduction, it wouldn’t at all surprise me if one DID sprout up in Charnwood somewhere!

I don’t care where it is, that’s cool. (Unless you’re a trolley collector I guess)

Thumper Thumper 11:46 am 28 Nov 07

It is cool…
