Duffy primary seems to be getting some sort of a Lego style upgrade, might be worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood/have a thing for school upgrades.
The Duffy community will have the chance to see a major upgrade of their local primary school in action this weekend as state-of-the-art classroom modules are delivered to Duffy Primary School as part of a $2.8 million dollar expansion.
The modules are leading in design and have the look and feel of a permanent structure, withthe flexibility of being able to be added to, or removed, to meet the Duffy Primary School’s requirements.
Minister for Education and Training Joy Burch said the modules will provide an additional seven classrooms for the school and have been welcomed by the school community who have been involved in the design process.
“The Duffy Primary School expansion is the first project involving purpose-built modular relocatable buildings at an ACT public school,” Ms Burch said.
“The modules are relocatable and are designed to seamlessly integrate into the school landscape. They’re very different to the stereotypical ‘demountable’ or ‘transportable’ building, and are leading in design and functionality.”
