Have any bird owners had their birds die unexpectedly in recent months? Possibly after buying a new bag of seed?
One of my cockatiels died recently. The vet suspected that it might be metal poisoning, or that it might be contaminated seed, as I had recently purchased a different brand.
Apparently there had been a similar case at the vet not long beforehand, and that bird had just started a new type of seed too.
There have been no cases at that vet since, but I imagine a lot of bird owners don’t take them to the vet.
Has anyone else had a bird die unexpectedly recently? If so, what brand of seed had they been eating?
