It may make sense looking at it written like that with the capital letters and all, but said aloud the DANscienCE festival really sounds like Dan’s Science festival. You can imagine that the name had been decided over email discussion long before anyone bothered trying to say it out loud.
I hope whoever came up with the name was actually called Dan and is giggling to himself right now.
This science festival about Dan feature the work of Canberra based choreographer Liz Lea, and will explore science, movement, and presumably someone named Daniel.
DANscienCE is a dance and science festival which will run between 13–18 August 2013 during National Science Week. It will bring together Australian dance artists and scientists in an exploratory celebration of two fields of excellence.
