Los Chavos, the local Latin/Reggae band, present Canberra’s very own Latin yearly festival that aims to showcase the music, dance, food, history and culture of Latin America here in the nations capital.

With a program of live entertainment including local and interstate bands, dance schools and percussion ensembles, the day will also involve Latin American food/craft stalls and cultural events such as ‘Latino Karaoke”, Day of the Dead face-painting and more.

While there has always a Latin presence at the National Multicultural Festival, this event aims to bring together under one event groups, communities, cultural producers, professionals, businesses and members of the public with an interest in Latin America to celebrate, dance, learn and most of all enjoy themselves.

Community focused and family friendly, the first part of the evening will give audiences a chance to experience and learn about these unique cultures, then to let go and party until late with the live bands and DJs.

Having successfully launched their debut album at last year’s 2 day edition of the festival, Los Chavos have curated an eclectic line-up for this years edition.

Come along to get your face painted and dance with all the other skeletons, grab a bite to eat and a glass of sangria or tequila and enjoy the performances and high-energy bands!
