‘Disembodied’, the stunning new exhibition from artist Thomas Stevens, has opened at the Belconnen Community Gallery.

‘Disembodied’ captures the human expression by merging realism and abstraction. Stevens’ portraiture and figures are evocative, with each brushstroke drawing attention to the texture and complexity of the human experience.

This exhibition goes one step further than most, with a virtual reality exhibit allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in Stevens’ paintings.

Acting as a second exhibition within the larger one, the virtual reality tour has the audience floating through the cosmos surrounded by painted faces highlighted by neon brushstrokes in action.

The Belconnen Community Gallery is open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. The exhibition closes on Friday 13 September. ‘Disembodied’ is a free exhibition.
