Dear rioters another weekend is upon us and those of a romantic nature will be jumping on board the greeting card celebration that is Valentines Day, but its also Chinese New Years celebrations this weekend with dragons and fireworks going off around the city, but I thing the big event will be in Dickson on Saturday evening from 5PM. I’m sure there is more to Canberra than that, so let us know what you’ve got happening this weekend in the Comments.

Rain, rain and more rain…….

Not thats theres anything wrong with that!

THE ART OF TRUTH COMPASSION TOLERANCE-Exhibition on at The Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre until 27/2/10. Gallery open Mon-Fri: 10am-4pm, Sat 10am-3pm. The artists paint from basic human dignity that is compromised in China.

Bald ARchies political humour portrait paintings still on at WAtson Gallery, 1 Aspinall st.
And I still haven’t got there yet – any good this year?

think it’ll be mud, busgirl – the BoM aren’t optimistic for the chines new year parade in woolley st, or your gardening endeavours. was hoping to do the same. have to sit inside, play with the l’il astrolad [and astress, of course], cook something appropriately valentinian and maybe even get to read some fiction. excitement or what!

…this will sound like I don’t have a life…and I kinda don’t…but I am looking forward to, instead of working yet another weekend, actually spending some time hanging out at home…in the garden…and getting some dirt under my fingernails…sigh

🙂

Me kicking back enjoying beer.

A unique night of improvisation with scenes and stories created from audience suggestion that will flow from comedy, cute and quirky to melodrama and potentially dark drama. Four pairs will each perform a 19 minute collection of scenes and stories ‘never to be repeated’!

A great night for those audiences who are fans of improvisation shows like Who’s Line Is It Anyway? and Thank God You’re Here as well as those people looking for an inexpensive new type of theatre experience.

Friday night is finding somewhere in the Fox cave to watch the start of the Super14 rugby.
See the Brumbies remember to cover Cameron Shepperd so he doesn’t run around their wingers again (3 times) an see the Reds and the Pansies beat each other to a bloody pulp.
