Go the Mudchooks!

Remarkable story about how this team came to exist. Apparently a lot of beers and bravado at the pub one night and then, bingo, a team!

Go the battlers in this one.

2.30pm Bungedore footy oval Grand final between Bungedore Mudchooks vs Crookwell Dogs. Support your country rugby, as Bungedore hasn’t fielded a team for nearly a century and have certainly come along way!

If there is anyone out there who is a cricketer and is either new in Canberra or is looking at changing clubs, Ginninderra West belconnen Cricket Club is having a piss up on Saturday night at West Canberra (Magpies) football club in Kippax.

The idea is simply this. Cricketers drink lots of beer, say gidday, relive past glories, and sit around and watch the Test match between the poms and the Aussies on the big screen.

Good way to start the season.

Cheers

Anyone interested, just rock up around 7.30ish and ask for Steve (Slug) Whittaker, or just say you’re with the cricket club.
