ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at a food store in Florey last night (Sunday, January 19).

Around 10.10pm, a man entered the Domino’s Pizza store armed with a machete and demanded money.

The employee complied with the demands and handed over a sum of cash.

The man ran from the store and was last seen down an alleyway between Domino’s Pizza and Pizza Capers.

Police attended and searched the area but were unable to locate the offender.

The offender is described as Caucasian, and aged in his 20s. At the time of the robbery his face was concealed by a scarf made out of white material.

Police are urging anyone with information which can assist in identifying the offender, or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around the Florey shops around the time of the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.

Information can be provided anonymously.

Robberies still going on…and on another thread…news that police can’t be bothered doing forensics on stolen cars. Robbers quite often use stolen cars.

What, the same thread where cops offered to do forensics on a smashed window? Nearly every recovered stolen car gets forensically examined. Don’t believe every 3rd hand anecdote you read on here.

The servo’s in my area get held up every couple of weeks. I’m surprised they don’t have a trap door at the counter.

Canberra seems to be having a lot of robberies lately or is it just me….?
