The Liberals’ Jeremy Hanson is pointing out that ACT Health’s annual report is showing increasing wait times at the Emergency Department:
“Only 54 percent of urgent (category 3) patients are being seen within the clinically appropriate timeframe of thirty minutes 5 percent less than last year,” ACT Shadow Health Minister Jeremy Hanson said today.
“Only 49 per cent of semi-urgent (category 4) patients are being seen within the clinically appropriate timeframe of an hour 8 percent less than last year.
“Hospital’s most vulnerable patients are hardest hit by ACT Labor’s inability to manage emergency admissions, with a two-fold increase in the number of mental health patients waiting longer than eight hours for admission.
Katy Gallagher meanwhile is thrilled that she’s had ~400 hours of volunteer labour in the ED.
