All About Baskets with artist Lisa Stevenson is a 6-week taster course exploring a range of basketry techniques. Come and learn some basic basketry techniques, using plants from the garden, recycled and waste materials and turning them into useful and beautiful baskets. A range of different techniques will be covered, including random weave, coiling, twining, and looping. Participants will build on skills each week and exploring a range of materials.
Lisa Stevenson is currently studying Visual Art and ANU school of art and design, after a long career in mental health care. She is a passionate basket maker, with a desire to make in a sustainable and purposeful manner, with recycled and natural materials. Photo: Tuggeranong Arts Centre.
