Canberra Railway Museum will re-open to the public from Sunday 5 July from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with displays of historic steam locomotives, carriages and rail memorabilia. It is the home of the 140-year-old steam locomotive 1210 which brought the first train into Canberra in 1914.
The Museum provides a rail heritage experience for the people of Canberra, the broader Capital Region, and visitors to Canberra. The museum staff maintain and restore a fleet of former NSW rollingstock, many with direct links to the local area and some over 100 years old.
