Wool is timelessly popular. Just ask the many craftspeople from Canberra, the region and interstate who come to create, demonstrate and sell this most fabulous of fibres. It’s a great time to meet and speak with wool producers, craftspeople and artists. See demonstrations from hand-spinning to weaving.
Watch shearing demonstrations and learn about the process of collecting wool from the sheep. There will be four shearing demonstrations each hour from 10:30am on both Saturday and Sunday.
If it can be created in wool, you may just find it at the markets. Browse and buy hand felted garments and accessories, designer knitwear, weavings, funky beanies and farm label knitwear. There’s also a vast array of woollen yarns, including hand spun and hand dyed yarns.
