The ABC reports that a long awaited rugby international is coming to Canberra next year.
- “The Wallabies will play Italy at Canberra Stadium in the opening match of the Test series in June 2009”
The last test in Canberra was in 2000 against Argentina which we were very lucky to win.
Yay, yay, yay! About bloody time really.
There were a few Tests here during the World Cup, though none of them involved Australia…I think that is the main point here, it’s a Wallabies Test. The World Cup games here were indeed memorable, they were fantastic actually..I went to all 3.
There was a test during the World Cup in 2003 – Canada vs Italy I think. I went – it was obviously memorable?
