Free public lecture @ CSIRO Discovery: Biodiversity and You

There’s a free public lecture at 7:15 pm on 7 December @ CSIRO Discovery: “Biodiversity and You”. The event is sponsored by the Council of Australasian Museum Directors International Year of Biodiversity 2010 project.

The panel will be chaired by Professor Tony Peacock, CEO of the CRC Association.

The panellists are three international ecologists:

  • Dr Peter Bridgewater, Chair of the UK Joint Nature Conservation Committee
    “Who moved my magic pudding? Seven steps to sustainability”
  • Professor Charles Krebs, Retired Fellow, University of British Columbia
    “What ecologists know that now underpins sustainability”
  • Dr Lorrae van Kerkhoff, Lecturer, Australian National University
    “Science in the age of democracy,or democracy in the age of science”

This public lecture is part of the Ecological Society’s international conference being held at ANU next week.
