Staff of the Artemis Family Learning Centre in Cessnock Street, Fyshwick found themselves locked out of the building yesterday morning. Apparently some dispute regarding the lease of the building.

This Canberra Times article refers to “20 families” being turned away. The centre is licensed for 125 kids, so it is likely that a lot more families were actually turned away, unable do drop off their kids this morning.

I gather there were a lot of upset staff and parents there yesterday morning.

I imagine it would cause all sorts of dramas for parents who were expecting to be able to drop their kids off their on their way to work. Also probably a lot of upset staff, who are now worried about whether they have a job.
