Geoscience Australia will be hosting its 2014 annual Open Day on Sunday 24 August, offering a range of science talks, tours and activities for all ages throughout the day. This National Science Week feature event highlights Geoscience Australia’s broad range of work.
See the robot which helps make your GPS more accurate, find out how earthquakes are detected, pan for gold, make your own sediment column, check out Australia in 3D, or become a seafloor detective. Spot the roving Earth dinosaur or have a chat with a real geoscientist.
