There must be a place cheaper than Just Cuts surely? Just moved to Canberrra from interstate and can’t believe how expensive a haircut is. My old suburb had 6 shops under $10! I usually went for a $6 cut and occasionally splashed out on a $9 one! Anywhere like this in Canberra?

Zygy on Northbourne Ave. Charming Indian bloke who makes little conversation, plays grown up news radio, does a pretty decent and quick job and charges $18. Not fancy. A barber.

FFS what are you digging up this old sh!t for! Honestly. get yourself a set of clippers – decent ones will cost you about $40 from Myers. A number one clip is easy as piss as, looks neat and saves you ever going to a barbers again.

So for the cheapest $12 one, anyone know if it’s open to public? Also, the “Joe Sorrentino (was at Pearce shops for years, moved to Mawson sometime in the 90s). 1980s decor, 1980s”, what are 80’s prices?

adfa have a cheap barber. 12 bucks from memory, but selection is limited.

Hair Spectrum, belco mall. 25 bucks for a head shearing. sweet.

I concur with el re Roger David – no fuss & easy to get a time. Has the added bonus of being open for part of Saturday afternoon, which earns extra points with me.

Martino’s is also good – a good haircut as well as a good location. I see they now offer massages as well, which is a bit weird, but apparently above board (& absolutely no inappropriate innuendo intended).

I do not recommend the Akuna St arcade place referred to by terubo. Had a haircut there once, which was honderous and lopsided, and will never go back.

Canberra seems to be a very hard place to find a cheap hair cut for blokes. I often get a haircut if I’m interstate just because its cheaper.

I’ve had pretty decent cuts at Roger David @ Woden Plaza. They’re $22 from memory.
