Grassfire on Lady Denman Drive

The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue are responding to a grass fire burning along Lady Denman Drive.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

Seven units from the ACT Rural Fire Service are being supported by two ACT Fire & Rescue pumpers.

The fire, located near Yarralumla Creek, has been contained and crews are conducting mopping up operations.

It is approximately 100m x 50m in size

The ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue will soon release crews from the grass fire along Lady Denman Drive.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The fire, near Yarralumla Creek, is located across the road and 500m south of the National Zoo and Aquarium. It is not impacting operations of the facility.

Five units will remain on scene to patrol the burnt area throughout the afternoon.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is HIGH.
