Greenway man charged with child exploitation material

A Greenway man has been charged with child exploitation offences in the first arrest for the ACT’s newly formed child exploitation unit.

The 43-year-old has been charged with using the internet to obtain child exploitation material and the possession of child exploitation material after members of the ACT Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team executed a search warrant on the man’s apartment yesterday.

Images and videos of child exploitation material were allegedly found on his computer.

The man received Watch House bail and is due to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court on 29 January 2020.
