Canberra’s Hancock Basement are taking the unusual (for a local band) step of releasing a 7″ vinyl record. (The things your parents used for music before CDs). To that end they’re having a launch party with a huge lineup next Thursday night at the Transit Bar (Akuna St, Civic). Entry is free.
This from the Facebook event page.
- Apart from headliners HANCOCK BASEMENT, THE INHERITORS (CENTRAL COAST) will be laying down some glorious T-Rex and the Kinks inspired rock-n roll, while D’OPUS AND ROSHAMBO (DJ SET) will be busting out non-stop classic party jams on the decks. SUPER BEST FRIENDS (DJ SET) will also delve into their record collections for your enjoyment, and lastly (but by no means leastly) the STRANGEWAYS DJs will bring the house down with a classic soulwax inspired set. Be there!
