Hooded pair threaten Deakin soccer club staffer with knives

Two men held up the Canberra Deakin Football Club with knives last night, threatening a staff member who complied with their demands, handing over a sum of cash before they fled the scene at around 10.45pm.

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the aggravated robbery at the club on Grose Street Deakin.

The first male is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm (5’9”) tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants with a black mask covering his face and was carrying a black and blue duffle bag.

The second male is described as between 170cm-175cm (5’7”-5’9”) tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with black pants and had a black mask covering his face.
