Hi Readers,

It appears that there was a house fire in Amaroo this morning on Rollston Cct. I wasn’t able to grab an exact address as police cordoned off the street to public access. I noticed a thick black plume of smoke on the horizon and curiosity got the better of me so I followed the trail to Rollston Cct in Amaroo. I wasn’t able to get any news but it’s assumed that the fireys are on the scene with assistance from ACT Policing.

What a Christmas this family is going to have. My thoughts are with the people who live in the house. No new information has come to light but expect the mainstream media to be on it.

Regards,

Silveras

About 9.45am police attended a residence in Rollston Street in Amaroo following reports that a man had set fire to newspaper and was attempting to light the power box of the residence.
ACT Fire & Rescue attended and extinguished the house fire as well as a fire in a parked Toyota at the residence.
Several ACT Policing units assisted in the precautionary evacuation of neighbouring houses and took a man into custody. The man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

I believe it was a car fire…….
