Housefire on Minnta Place, Ngunnawal

ACT Fire & Rescue is responding to reports of a house fire on Minnta Place in Ngunnawal.

Several Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls were made from 4.42pm.

Update to follow.

Update @ 4:59 PM:

Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire which has fully involved the three bedroom house.

ACT Fire & Rescue has three trucks, the breathing apparatus van, Hazardous Materials Unit and a commander on scene.

Update @ 5:17 PM:

Firefighters are continuing to extinguish a fire at a Minnta Place home in Ngunnawal, checking for extension into the roof.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.

There is no threat to surrounding properties.

Update @ 5:33 PM:

Firefighters have extinguished the fire.

Damage to the back of the house and roof was significant. There was also smoke damage throughout every room inside.

Investigations into the cause are underway.

ACT Fire & Rescue will remain on scene for some time.
