We’ve been informed of a free art exhibit showcasing the work of Canberran street artists at Soju Girl gallery:

Hung: Featuring ABYSS – HOUL- JESSMESS – GIBBS – WALRUS – BYRD – KOOK – SWERFK – DALE – ZEDAR

Local artist Dale Newbery has assembled a collection of works by some of Canberra’s best street artists to be exhibited over two months at Soju Girl Gallery in Canberra.

HUNG will bring together the heavyweights and the up and coming creatives of the Canberra street art scene, all keen to promote the amazing talent Canberra has to offer.

These artists are fixtures around Canberra’s alleyways, under-passes and storm-water drains but for the first time the public will be able to see them all in one place.

All forms of modern street and urban art will be on display including graffiti, stencils, pasteups and paintings.

Entry is free throughout the season and Soju Girl will also have its award winning restaurant and bar open Monday to Saturday.

Awesome. One thing I have noticed recently is the rise of some really decent street art in Canberra. Will look forward to seeing this.
