Chamberlains - complete legal services for business

It’s not really drink spiking if you just stuff it in her mouth

By johnboy - 2 December 2013 13

A 19-year-old Queanbeyan man is today facing drug charges after he was arrested after an incident in a Canberra night club yesterday morning (December 1).

Around 3.30am yesterday police attended a City night club in response to a call from security.

The man allegedly had been speaking to a woman he knew and forced a capsule believed to contain methamphetamine (MDMA) into her mouth. The woman was able to remove the partially dissolved capsule from her mouth and alerted security.

Police searched the man and seized 43 capsules and two tablets believed to contain MDMA, as well as one gram of cocaine.

The man will face ACT Magistrates Court this morning on charges of Common Assault, as well as Trafficking, Supplying and Possessing a Prohibited Substance.

Oh dear, LSWCHP, you’re right of course.

Of course when shoving drugs into someone else the risk is unknown but it’s never going to be zero, and nobody has the right to make that decision for anyone else.

If anyone insists on being stupid on their own time, then so be it. It’s sad and it affects their families and friends but as a species, we’ve proven that there are some individuals we can’t stop from taking dangerous drugs. But giving something to someone else without their permission, or even misrepresenting what you’re giving them is just evil.

One important reason not to take drugs is that some of them will kill you if you’re on antidepressants or various other medicines. I can’t even find words for how dangerously stupid this guy truly is, trying to throw this stuff around like it’s candy and without a thought for the fact that people have good reasons to turn it down.

One important reason not to take drugs is that some of them will kill you. That is true, regardless of whether you’re on anti-depressants or other medication.

About 20 years ago a friend of mine found the body of her dead younger brother with the spike still stuck in his arm from the shot that killed him. He was the victim of a dealer who wasn’t cutting his smack as much as all the other dealers, so he got more than he bargained for.

And 20 years later, my friend is still messed up as a result. Not as bad as she used to be, but it’s always with her.

And as a final thought, did you know that when you die your sphincter muscles relax? This means that as you float towards the bright white light after taking that anonymous pill, you’ll shit and piss yourself. It’s not a good look on the dance floor, or anywhere really. Who wants their family or friends to remember them like that?

Things have changed at “Canberra night clubs” with men forcing drug capsules into women’s mouths. I can remember in the 1980s in the laneway behind the Private Bin men forcing something else into women’s mouths.

Rape takes on the charming glow of nostalgia when viewed through moron coloured glasses.

Thank you. Poetically and aptly put.

Methamphetamine is not MDMA…. I think they mean Methylamphetamine which is completely different.

“Methamphetamine” and “methylamphetamine” are two different words to describe the same substance. But you are correct when you say that they are not synonyms for MDMA, which is an acronym for “methylenedioxymethamphetamine” otherwise known as “ecstasy”.

Argh! Cheers for the correction.

How drunk must this guy have been? Why would he draw that kind of attention to himself while in possession of that much stuff?
