Zed Seselja and Brendan Smyth have announced a Liberal Government would think about building a museum for the Rural Fire Service:
ACT Opposition Leader Zed Seselja and ACT Shadow Emergency Services Minister Brendan Smyth announced today that if elected, a Canberra Liberals Government will provide $100,000 for a feasibility study into building an ACT Rural Fire Service (RFS) museum. Mr Seselja said today’s announcement is a way of paying tribute to the contribution of the RFS to Canberra.
“If elected, a Canberra Liberals Government will provide $100,000 for a feasibility study for an RFS museum on the site of the former Nolan Gallery at Lanyon,” Mr Seselja said.
“Displays would include photographs and videos, historical documents, equipment and uniforms.
“It’s an important way of acknowledging the hard work of the RFS,” Mr Seselja concluded.
