This has come in and looks interesting:
Live@BAC is thrilled to present acoustic music by local band The Burley Griffin and musician Adam Brown.
As we welcome in the warmer weather, unwind on a Friday in Belconnen Arts Centre’s spacious foyer, looking over Lake Ginninderra, and listen to live acoustic music by talented local musicians.
About The Burley Griffin:
The Burley Griffin have been making quite an impression on the Australian music scene, with their unique folk/rock style and melodious song writing – with a bit of alternative country twang thrown in for good measure. Featuring a number of talented musicians with richly varied musical backgrounds, they are slick, quick and generously moustachioed, offering a toe-tapping and always delightful experience.About Adam Brown:
This will be one of Adams first performances in Australia, having recently moved to Canberra from New Zealand. Adam was a member of “Burning July” a band that toured with Jet, 48May, and Goodnight Nurse. Adams musical background is in Pop Punk and he is influenced by bands such as Coldplay, Tallest Man of Earth and artist John Mayer.“We were thrilled to see so many enthusiastic supporters at the first four LIVE@BAC events – a great beginning to this new initiative for Belconnen. LIVE supports local artists and at the same time enables you to meet your friends, have a few drinks and a light snack, relax and enjoy original live music, as you watch the lake change at dusk.” says Belconnen Community Arts Officer, Philip Piggin.
