(Getting in early on this one because it’s going to be a huuuuuuuge night.)

Liz Frencham is an ornament to music. The complete package: a superb song-writer, sings like an angel, and when Liz is on stage with one of her double-basses, it’s like two parts of the one whole. (Sounds naff, but check her out live and you’ll see why I’m running off at the mouth.)

Liz is launching her new duets album ‘You and Me, Vol 1’. She kicked it off at the National and is now taking it around the country.

Have a look for yourself at this recording from Liz’s album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MLp5KCekxY (with Mic Conway on lead ukelele and yesterday’s copy of The Age).

Robbie Long is an Australian guitar legend. Australia’s 2008 Flat Pick guitar champion, a bluegrass expert and a 100% virtuoso. (You usually need a super-slow-mo camera to catch what his fingers are doing on some tracks.)

Robbie is launching his ‘Snapshots’ album.

Hey Lester are the creme of Canberra’s bluegrass talent: Donal Baylor, Dave O’Neill, Tony Hunter, John Taylor, Bob Rogers and Bucky.

The Merry Muse at the Polish White Eagle Club, 38 David Street, Turner.
$15 adults/$12 concessions and members. Doors from about 7pm-ish. Support 8pm. Main act(s) 9pm.

All the details and links at www.merrymuse.org.au

NB. The last time Liz Frencham was at the Muse, the ‘house full’ sign went up, so if you’re coming: don’t be late!
