Local radio wins award - Scotty and Nige on FM 104

Dingo i agree that hamish and Andy do get up to some “bigger things” than Scotty & Nige like their Caravan and the Garvy Chips, but i think you’ll find while i’d say maybe Hamish & Andy have a big team of helpers (producers etc) behind the scenes, that Scotty & Nige wouldn’t have anywhere near the infrastructure in their show.

And yes ant Robbie Buck should go 😉

I listened to Hamish and Andy for years when I lived in Sydney and although I find Scotty and Nige easy to listen to in the morning, there country bumpkin sense of humour does not really appeal to me.
Don’t get me wrong I love that Canberra has it’s own radio personalities and more power to them for winning… But the comparison to Hamish and Andy does not even warrant being measured as far as I am concerned.
That is just my opinion of course. We all have our own tastes.

Agreed there, Scotty and Nige outrank Hamish and Andy who definately try too hard to push out the jokes and end up just pushing out the most rediculous rubbish most of the time. But then they’re 200% better than the dkhead and jackieo hour of bullsht, it forces me to listen to the screaming on 2JJJ.

When I accidently listen to Scotty and Nige in the mornings (after having listened to Hamish and Andy the previous afternoon) I feel like pushing a pencil into my eye. They are woeful, unfunny try-hards. Dear lord – there must be wittier people in Canberra than those guys.

Big ups to the Mt Gambier massive.

Now if they would please fix up the music I’d happily go back to listening to them…
